Festival Fequently Asked Questions

There are many different events that happen at the Sedona Hummingbird Festival

below are some FAQs to help you out!

TICKETS

 

Q: How do I purchase tickets?

A: Tickets go on sale May 1st and will be live on the ticket page until July 21st.

Q: What if I didn’t buy tickets online can I still buy them?

A: Yes, they will be available for purchase at the door. (Some are subject to availability)

Q: Can I purchase whatever activity I want separately such as banding, garden, and banquet? Or do I have to buy a ticket to the presentations as well?

A: Tickets are available individually for whatever event you wish to attend. Easy customization for your convenience!

Q: Are there any discounts for tickets?

A: If you purchase them in advance online they are less expensive than at the door.

Q: Where are the prices for the various activities?

A: Click on the festival tab and scroll down. Underneath the schedule link you will see the various activities and the prices for advance tickets and for tickets purchased at the door.

Q: How will I get my tickets for the various activities?

A: There is a registration table when you first come into the building that will have a bag with your name on it with all of your wristbands, directions to the locations, program, and everything you need to know about the festival. 

Q: My PayPal receipt doesn't have the day of the event I purchased. How do I know if I purchased the right day? 

A: You will get a paid receipt from The International Hummingbird Society that will have al of the information on it. 

Q. Do I have to fill out a separate waiver for each person coming to the festival?

A. No, you can fill it out in your name and then purchase as many tickets as you want.

FESTIVAL

 

Q: What time does the festival open?

A: 8:00am Friday - Sunday

Q: Where is the festival located?

A: The presentations and Hummingbird Marketplace are located at the Sedona Performing Arts Center.

995 Upper Red Rock Loop Rd. Sedona, AZ 86336. Banding, garden tours and early morning birding trips are at other locations that will be given once tickets are purchased. 

Q: When does the festival close?

A: Festival closes 5:30pm Friday & Saturday - Sunday closes at 4:30pm

 

Q: How do I find the schedule?

A: Click on the festival tab and scroll down to where it says, "Click here for schedule."

Q: Will there be food available?

A: We will have Merkin food and gelato truck for lunch purchases Friday and Saturday and Penny's Place Sunday.

Coffee will be provided in the morning.

Q: How do I get to the main festival page?

A: Click on the festival tab and it will bring you to the main page. Scroll down for all of our information. 

Q: Is the Hummingbird Marketplace free and open to the public? 

A: Yes! The Hummingbird Marketplace is free admission to anyone. 

 

OFF-SITE ACTIVITIES

Q: How will I know where the Banding Demonstrations are located?

A: You will receive the directions with your paid receipt via email.

Q: How will I know where the Garden Tours are located?

A: It is a self guided tour and you will receive the locations when you pick up your registration packet.

Q: How will I get to the birding tours?

A: You will meet in the parking lot of the Festival location at the Sedona Performing Arts Center at 6:00 AM. The guides will have signs for the different tours. Be prepared to carpool as there is not adequate parking for everyone. You will leave promptly at 6:30AM and be back in time for the opening remarks.

Q: Are there restrooms available at the offsite activities? 

A: No. There are no restrooms available to the public. 

Q: Are the off-site activities handicapped accessible? 

A: One of the gardens is, and one of the banding locations on Saturday and Sunday.

 

MISCELLANEOUS

 

Q: Where should I stay?

A: We have several lodging partners that offer discounted rates. Go to our festival tab, and you will find lodging partners. Enjoy your stay!

 

Q: Can I buy Gala Banquet tickets at the door?

A: Since we have to let Poco Diablo know ahead of time what individuals will be having for dinner, we will not be selling tickets at the door. Online only.
